Little Bits

The ---- deer are eating my iris. I'm not happy about this. There's plenty of other stuff around here for them to eat. My neighbor down the way feeds them for crying out loud. I'm thinking I'll be hunting this year out of revenge. Potty training is going well. Still a few daily accidents but more hits than misses. Most misses are due to playtime. We'll get there. Shaved the legs the other day, took around 35 minutes! Whoa, that and the average hair was 3/4 an inch long... my Hubby is the best. The were a few references to being wed to a Sasquatch but otherwise he's quite tolerant. Hee! Having a family get together down at the folk's since Cody is home on leave. This time I'm getting a Family Photo of all the siblings and Mom and Dad. Still can't believe I spaced it at Christmas. So on that note... April showers bring May flowers. See you all come May with some pics of the family.

Potty Training or Mommy Training?

Teo has on the "Big Boy Unders" today. Since we have no more diapers on hand and also since it's time. He's ready. A bit goofy but eager. We're 50/50 on success so far this morning but it's as much the parent being on the ball as the little boy. I've also decided that I'm going to try posting a few little daily tidbits rather than thinking of the "Great" post every now and then. I was once told by my Neighbor Pat, "Woman, you think to much." He's still right so I'm easing up. Now off to the Mommy Training....I mean Potty Training.

Spring Shaving?

So I thought Spring was here and was all prepared to shave. I've let the legs go since November. No, really. More than you wanted to know? Sorry. No, not really. Anyway, then it snowed! Some 8-10 inches over night and I thought now it's too cold again. So I'm still happy to wear pants. I've been meaning to get a haircut lately but the weather has put that on hold also. (I'm prepared to donated some 10-12 inches.) May looks promising for some free time or rather less "work" time. I'm cutting back my shifts with the Old People to one a week. I need it both mentally and sleep wise. It's often exhausting. Another reason I've not shaved this winter - I'd rather spend what little time I have doing other things. Finished two more dresses for Rubes but not taken pics as the weather stinks. Have I mentioned that I'm tired of the cold and snow? The snow is gone but knowing WI. it could be back even in May! Bleh. Maybe I'll try shaving tomorrow?.... Be happy I'm not posting pics of that! You can ask my sis, Tara, if you really want to know more.... She's seen them!

No Self Image Issues at the Moment

So I haven't been a big blogger these past 3 months or so. Lots of reasons really. A main one being lack of enthusiasm. I've been unsure of the direction I've wanted to take and thus not posted at all. That being said I'd hate to lose my 5 people who look forward to what I have to say and here's a special treat for you..... I let my children take pictures with the camera. I think the ones of me are pretty funny in a totally non-flattering way. My self image is pretty good these days so that's a blessing. Thing is there are a lot of photos of me with a variety of odd ball expressions out there. Most taken by my family. Makes me wonder... Rubes took this one. Not too horrible. I look a bit irritated though. Is that a snarl I see? (And holy huge hand!) I also look like I'm wearing a mouth guard. Ha.

Teo captured this beauty. Whoa... I now know what I'll look like when I lose my teeth. For some reason this one cracks me up. Maybe cause Rubes looks so sweet and I look like I'm smelling something foul.
Teo took his first self portrait. No boogers for a change.
Rubes took her own mug shot as well. She's got some big brown eyes.
I thought I'd end with a nice pic of Rubes and Teo in their Easter attire. Spring is here and I'm feeling optimistic. Hang in there my Peeps!
